Our Aim is
T
o bring together practitioners and others involved to promote social accounting and other social, environmental and economic impact measurement activities.

WMSAC is the regional representative of the Social Audit Network in the West Midlands.

Aims and Objectives:

WMSAC has four priorities for 2008.

  1. it is raising awareness about the process of social accounting through seminars and other meetings.
  2. it is supporting the development of new clusters at local level across the region. Currently there is a new cluster in place in Birmingham. A further cluster is planned for the Black Country early in 2008 and when funding is available, a third cluster will be initiated in Worcestershire.
  3. It is seeking to formalize its processes during the course of the year initially through the establishment of a terms of reference document.
  4. It is running a series of CPD seminars following the conference in December. The first of these will be held in the spring of 2008 and will focus on economic impact.
