Vision Statement:
By 2014 we want to see a thriving and sustainable local voluntary and community sector with effective governance and a well-trained workforce of paid staff and volunteers, able to operate and develop in a challenging environment, supported by an effective range of second-tier services.
Aim 1: Addressing sector’s support and learning needs
To track the changing support and learning needs of voluntary and community sector groups and develop an evolving strategy to meet these needs.
Aim 2: Regional Collaboration
To explore the potential for collaboration with other voluntary and community sector infrastructure agencies within the West Midlands region.
Aim 3: Networking and Representation
To create effective local mechanisms for voluntary and community sector networking and representation.
Aim 4: Trustee Development Programme
To create a local Trustee Development Programme.
Aim 5: Volunteering
To increase the level of volunteering activity locally.
Aim 6: Public Service Delivery & Collaborative Working support programme
To create a support programme for local voluntary and community sector agencies engaged in Public Service Delivery and/or Collaborative Working.
